Saturn taken with the 12" Dobson Telescope and the Pentax K-5 IIs. Finally have the scope retrofitted to take photos now. This is a single shot taken taken about an hour after twilight.

The Milky Way is the galaxy that contains our Solar System. They are at least 200–400 billion stars.

This is called a Waxing Crescent. The waxing means "growing" or expanding in illumination, After the new moon, the sunlit portion is increasing, but less than half, so it is waxing crescent.
A little light painting with a green laser on Dave's Vixen. Or was it the aliens?
M82, M81 and NGC 3077 Galaxies. M81 has a magnitude of 6.90 so i think the setup is working pretty well. This is a single image exposure.
