April 27th, 2012. This is called a Waxing Crescent. The waxing means "growing" or expanding in illumination, After the new moon, the sunlit portion is increasing, but less than half, so it is waxing crescent.

M82, M81 and NGC 3077 Galaxies. M81 has a magnitude of 6.90 so i think the setup is working pretty well. This is a single image exposure.
